Vedas are source-code of entire Hinduism. Read any book - Purans, Upanishads, Darshans - they all refer to Vedas as ultimate. A recurring theme in all Smriti (later Hindu texts) is that they assert that if there is a dispute between Smriti and Shruti (Vedas), Shrutis wins. Sanatan in Sanatan Dharma refers to eternal wisdom of Vedas. No other text except Vedas have been preserved so meticulously.
If you have to destroy Hinduism, simply destroy its Vedic foundation. This is what western indologists did. This is what every businessman of religion does to open his shop. Modus operandi is simple - reduce Vedas to level of ordinary human creation with history. Moment you do this, there is no worthwhile basis for any Hindu belief. Everything is now shaky and slippery. Why respect cow? Why believe in rebirth? Why believe in law of karma? Why take Hinduism seriously? Everything is a theory created by less educated relatively incompetent brains of ancient tribals who are no match to the wisdom of Your Highness Mr Intellectual with gold medal from JNU in Sanskrit! or some historical facts that have just a beauty value.
The only basis to love Hinduism now remains that fact that some Jihadis have been beating us black and blue since ages. You try to destroy every foundation you possess to pass blame of your thrashing. And reserve enough freedom to give yourself guilt-free hawas (lust). Now cow is a burden, Gita is a superstition. Self control and Yoga are nonsense.
The only difference between a communist and Hindutvavaadi is that they differ in their views on Islamic terrorism. Rest - character, purpose, mission of life - all are jokes for you.
Hindutva brigade is roughly divided between Sanatan Dharma lovers and Sanskriti lovers. Sanatan Dharma lover is the typical simple temple going or Hawan-performing religious Hindu - the Arya Samajis included. They represent the traditional Hinduism the way it was since inception - in spirit. Their life is all about adjusting and improving to utmost ideals of purity. Even if they fail to do so due to weak will, they at least admit they are wrong.
Sanskriti lovers will hype more about Sanskriti than foundation of Sanskriti. Because these people earned their fame by showing history in Vedas and reducing Hinduism to resultant of petty brains of past. They will show Saraswati river in Vedas or ten kings war, or even beef in Vedas. They love Hindu Sanskriti because they like the Sanskriti - culture. Knowing little that culture is nothing permanent. Today we celebrate Diwali, tomorrow it may be something else. The moment you lose grip of foundation, there is no stopping from including even Dargahs in prayers. After all there is nothing divine or wonderful about Hinduism. It is just a beautiful painting. This is slippery Hinduism described as path of eternal darkness in Yajurveda Chapter 40. Like entering a dark road. You do not realize how further you have gone in darkness. And when you turn back, you suddenly find yourself nowhere.
Moment you deprive Hinduism of Vedas, either you have option to adopt a different faith, or remain scared and shaky, or become an atheist who views life as chemical reaction decided at time of Big band 17 billion years ago.
A Jihadi will fight to death for his Holy Quran. And Hindus end up being thrashed because their belief itself is shaken.
We need to be wary of such slippery Hinduism despite best intentions of their propagators. Savarkar is a classic example. He was wonderful in his views on politics and recent history. But he goofed up big time by glorifying atheism and other related ideals that were without a rational basis.
Every human is scared of death and confused about puzzles of life and death. By reducing Vedas to some petty history narrated in silly language, you just allow different marketeers to open their shops to give you solution for these puzzles. You will find many such mystics and tantra gurus downplaying Vedas to fulfill their fetishes. And this results in society becoming impotent. Osho is a classic example.
Also note that it is not that Hindus must turn superstitious just to fight Jihadis. Definitely not. But they must turn honest than foolishly lose their treasure just because some passerbys on road tell you that what you carry are stones.
It is a fact that there is no evidence of Vedas being ever written in history. At best we can say, we do not have enough data to comment on it.
Given all info, the evidence in favor of life being a chemical reaction is way less than it not being so. And that is why no brilliant scientist like Newton was atheist. Science tells us how laws of universe work. They do not know how they work. Also, the way they explain is through models that contradict each other and just work in their specified domains. Unlike popular notion with many, science does not deny soul or God. It just says these things are not in its domain of study. science tells you what is formula for gravitational force. It does not tell what makes two particles to approach each other with such perfection. Newton had said, " All i am trying to do is to show how perfect are God's laws!"
Also, content of Vedas are of very deep conceptual nature that are always applicable. Each word represents a root essence. You apply that essence in different contexts to find relevant meaning.
Most importantly, without Vedic foundation of law of karma, rebirth and immortality of soul, nothing we do in world makes any sense. Then, the best strategy should be to maximize one's own happiness by following one's own whims. Because everything is chemical reaction. Then Jihadis are perfectly right in killing or raping. After all blame Big Bang that designed them. They are poor chemical reactions. Even kill is a chemical reaction.
Do not allow Hindutva to become a chemical reaction. Yes life is a chemical reaction. This is biology. There is a purpose behind the each reaction. This is Satya Sanatan Vedic Dharma.
